22Bet Casino review: what the phone gets you

22Bet is a betting company first. Open its iPhone app and you land on hockey lines and live odds, not on slots. The casino is there, all 4,000-odd games of it, but you reach most of it through the mobile site rather than the app.

That shapes this whole 22Bet Casino review. If you want a slot app with a tidy lobby, this is not it. If you bet on sports and spin a few reels between periods, it can make sense.

It is not for Ontario. Alberta players should also look elsewhere since the province opened its own regulated market in July 2026.

2.8 stars from 123 ratings: start there

The app is called "22Bet: Online Sports Betting" and it is listed in the Canadian App Store under the seller TechSolutions Group NV. It came out in February 2025 and was last updated to version 3.1 on 14 August 2026.

Its score is 2.8 out of 5, from 123 ratings. That is a small sample, and low.

We did not run a long test session in the app, so we will not pretend to know exactly why people mark it down. What we can say is that a rating under 3 on a betting app usually points to login trouble, payment complaints or a confusing layout. Read the most recent written reviews in the store before you install, and sort them by date rather than by "most helpful".

The store description also advertises a sports bonus (100% up to C$100), which tells you who the app is built for.

Android

There is no Google Play listing for Canada. Android users download an APK from the 22Bet site, which means allowing installs from your browser in the phone settings. Only take the file from the operator's own domain, and turn that permission off again once the app is in.

Honestly, for casino play we would skip both apps and use the mobile site. It carries the full game list, and you avoid a sideloaded file on Android.

Where it accepts players

22Bet holds a Kahnawake Gaming Commission licence (number 00882), and RG.org also lists a Curaçao licence. The operator behind it is TechSolutions Group N.V. together with Starsten Ltd., part of the Marikit Holdings group. It launched in 2017.

Ontario is excluded. Everywhere else in Canada can sign up, with the usual age rule: 18 in Quebec and Manitoba, 19 in most other provinces. Alberta is a grey area now that unlicensed sites were told to leave by 13 October 2026, so we would not open an account there.

One practical point. The site is geo-gated, so what you see depends on your location. A VPN only makes the later ID check harder.

The casino welcome package, deposit by deposit

The casino offer adds up to C$2,210 and 150 free spins, spread over four deposits. Only the first step is clearly published by our sources:

That wagering conflict matters. On a C$100 first deposit with a C$100 match, 35x on the bonus is C$3,500 of bets; 50x is C$5,000. Open the bonus terms on your phone before you deposit and look for the number yourself. If the terms page is hard to read on a small screen, rotate to landscape or use the browser's reader view.

Sports bettors should pick the casino offer or the sports offer on purpose. Mixing them up at the deposit screen is a common way to lose a bonus you wanted.

Paying in from a phone

22Bet lists a long cashier: Interac, Visa, Mastercard, MuchBetter, AstroPay and seven cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, XRP, Tron, Dogecoin and USDT).

Interac is the one most readers will use. It is the method our sources agree on, and it keeps your bank details off the casino side.

Apple Pay and Google Pay are a different story. Only one review (RG.org) says 22Bet takes them. No second source confirms it, and we could not see the cashier ourselves because the site is gated from our location. Treat both as unconfirmed until you open the deposit screen and see the button. If wallet payments are the reason you are reading, our Apple Pay casino list and Google Pay page name brands where they are confirmed.

Withdrawals: 15 minutes pending, then it varies

A cash-out request sits as pending for about 15 minutes, which is short by offshore standards. After that, the timing depends on the method:

• e-wallets: listed as instant
• crypto: up to 24 hours
• cards: up to 7 business days

Interac timing is not stated separately. Expect it to land between the e-wallet and card times, and plan for a delay on your first request because of the ID check below.

Verification: give it three days

22Bet may ask for photo ID, proof of address, proof that the payment method is yours and a selfie. Checks are said to take up to 72 hours.

Do it from your phone before you need the money. Take photos in daylight, with all four corners of the card visible, and make sure the name on your Interac account matches the one on your 22Bet profile.

Games and live dealers on a small screen

The lobby lists more than 4,000 games from over 160 providers. On a phone that is a lot of scrolling, so use the search bar and provider filter rather than browsing.

Live tables come from six studios: Evolution, Pragmatic Play Live, Ezugi, Vivo Gaming, TVBet and Winfinity. Evolution and Pragmatic tables are built for portrait play, with bet buttons along the bottom. Smaller studios can be fiddlier. Live video is the heaviest thing you will stream here, so use Wi-Fi for long sessions and check how fast your battery drops after 20 minutes. More on that in our mobile live casino guide.

Getting help at 3 a.m.

Live chat runs 24/7 and there is an English email address ([email protected]). Chat sits behind a bubble in the corner of the mobile site.

Bettors yes, slot purists less so

22Bet suits someone who already bets on sports and wants slots and live tables in the same account, paid with Interac.

It is a weaker pick for a pure casino player on an iPhone. The app is aimed at betting and scores 2.8, the Android version is a sideload, the wallet payments are unproven and the bonus wagering is unclear. For a real casino app, Spin Casino or Jackpot City are easier choices. Our casino apps guide compares the rest.
