Zodiac Casino review: the C$1 offer on a phone
The cheapest way into a licensed Canadian-facing casino. One dollar gets you in; the rest of the C$480 package asks a lot in return.

What's new
As of October 2026 Zodiac still offers 80 spins for C$1, then four matches worth up to C$480. Ontario has its own Zodiac site and app, and Albertans should check whether Zodiac is among the Casino Rewards brands licensed in their province.
Zodiac opened in 2001. For a site that old, the pitch is surprisingly modern: one dollar, 80 spins, done. No other offer we track in Canada asks less to get started.
It belongs to the Casino Rewards group, holds a Kahnawake Gaming Commission licence, carries eCOGRA certification and runs on the Games Global library. The old version of this page claimed a Malta licence and a 2018 launch. Both were wrong, and we have corrected them here.
Can you play from your province?
Start here, because it decides everything else.
Ontario residents use a separate, provincially licensed Zodiac site and the "Zodiac Casino Ontario" app. The Kahnawake site reviewed on this page is for the rest of Canada.
Alberta is the open question. Casino Rewards launched seven of its brands in Alberta's regulated market on 13 July 2026. Zodiac is probably one of them, but we could not confirm it. If you live in Alberta, look for an AGLC-approved Zodiac before using the rest-of-Canada site, which should not be serving you now that the October deadline has passed.
In Quebec and Manitoba you can play at 18. In the other provinces and territories, 19.
One dollar, 80 spins
A C$1 first deposit unlocks 80 spins on Mega Money Wheel, a progressive jackpot game. For the price of a gumball you get a real look at the lobby and a lottery ticket on the jackpot.
Two things the banner does not shout about. Your winnings from those spins are bonus funds, so they carry the 200x play-through that applies to the first deposit offer. And C$1 is a special case: from the second deposit on, the minimum is C$10.
Our view? Take the C$1 deal as a test drive and expect nothing from it. If it pays, nice. If not, you lost a loonie.
What C$480 in matches would cost you
After the first deposit, Zodiac offers four more matched deposits. To collect every dollar of them, you have to deposit the amounts below:
| Deposit | Match | You deposit | Bonus | Wagering |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2nd | 100% | C$100 | C$100 | 200x |
| 3rd | 50% | C$160 | C$80 | 30x |
| 4th | 50% | C$300 | C$150 | 30x |
| 5th | 50% | C$300 | C$150 | 30x |
| Total | C$860 | C$480 |
So "up to C$480" means putting C$860 on top of the first dollar. That is the honest reading.
The research we rely on puts 200x on the first and second deposit bonuses and 30x from the third, which is how the table is built. Read the terms in your account before you opt in, and check whether the multiplier is on the bonus alone or on deposit plus bonus.
200x on a C$100 bonus is C$20,000 of slot bets. Table games and live dealer count only 2%, so they are no shortcut. The 30x matches later in the package are far more reasonable, and they are the part we would actually consider.
Fairer bonuses are listed in our bonus guide.
The app you probably can't use
"Zodiac Casino Ontario" in the App Store is official and published by Apollo Entertainment. It is also Ontario only.
Everyone else uses the mobile site. It is a traditional lobby, more functional than pretty, with Games Global titles that load in HTML5 without a download. The upside of a simple design shows on a phone: it is light on data, gentle on the battery, and it works on older handsets. Put it on your home screen from Safari's share sheet or Chrome's menu if you want one-tap access.
If you came here looking for real app-based casinos, our casino apps guide covers what Canadians outside Ontario can actually install.
The cashier, tapped through
Methods listed for the rest-of-Canada site:
- Interac, processed by PayDirect Billing Solutions
- Visa and Mastercard
- CAD EFT/eCheck
- Skrill
- Direct bank transfer
Apple Pay and Google Pay are not listed by the operator. Interac is the obvious choice on a phone: your bank app opens, you approve, the browser comes back to the cashier. If you use the C$1 offer, check that your bank does not apply a minimum to Interac payments that is higher than that.
Getting your money out
Zodiac uses the same Casino Rewards payout routine as its sister sites. A withdrawal stays pending for 48 hours, gets processed on the next business day, then travels at the speed of the method: CAD EFT 2 to 3 working days, e-wallets 1 to 3, cards 3, wire 6 to 10. The minimum is C$50, or C$300 by wire.
So a C$30 win from the C$1 spins cannot be withdrawn on its own. You would need to reach C$50 first, and clear the wagering.
The casino may ask for ID, proof of address and proof of payment method, possibly notarised. Get that done before you need the money.
Recreational gambling winnings are generally tax-free in Canada.
Slots and live tables
Hundreds of Games Global slots, from the Mega Moolah family to classic three-reelers, plus video poker and table games. There is a live dealer section, though the site does not say which studio runs it. On a phone, live tables eat data quickly, so keep them for Wi-Fi.
No sportsbook, no crash games. If you want variety from many studios, newer sites have more. Our new mobile casinos page has some.
Support and the safety nets
Live chat and email are both open around the clock. On a phone, the chat window opens over the lobby, so you can ask about a stuck spin without losing your place. For anything involving a withdrawal, email leaves a paper trail, which is worth having.
The eCOGRA seal means an outside tester checks the games' payout figures. It does not resolve disputes for you; the Kahnawake commission is the body to contact if support goes nowhere.
Deposit limits and self-exclusion are in the account settings. Our responsible gambling page explains how to use them.
Our tip before you deposit that dollar
Zodiac is a fair place to start if you are curious about online casinos and want a regulated, long-running brand with Interac in Canadian dollars. Points earned here count across Casino Rewards, including at Yukon Gold.
Just decide in advance how far into the package you will go. For most people, the right answer is the C$1 spins and then plain deposits with no bonus attached. Set a deposit limit in your account on day one.
