Ranked for phone play from Canada · 15 casinosEvery casino on this site takes Interac in some form. That isn't a coincidence: Interac casinos are the only kind most Canadians will ever use, because almost every chequing account already has e-Transfer built in and nobody needs to sign up for anything new.
On a phone, though, the experience varies more than people expect. Some cashiers hand you off to your bank in two taps. Others make you copy an amount and a reference code between apps like it's 2015.
Two apps, one phone
The classic e-Transfer deposit means leaving the casino and coming back. On our iPhone and Android test phones it ran roughly like this:
- Choose Interac in the casino cashier and enter the amount.
- The cashier shows payment details: sometimes a recipient email and a reference, more often a button that hands you to the processor.
- Switch to your banking app, approve the transfer, and authenticate with Face ID or a fingerprint.
- Switch back. The casino tab should be where you left it, and the balance updates once the processor confirms.
Step four is where phones cause trouble. If your browser has a dozen tabs open, iOS or Android may unload the casino page while you're in the bank app, and you come back to a login screen. Nothing is lost, the money is still on its way, but people panic and send a second transfer. Don't. Wait a few minutes and check the transaction history first.
A tip from testing: close other heavy apps before you start, and keep the casino in a browser tab rather than an APK if the app keeps reloading on you.
Request money and the processors in the middle
Casinos almost never receive your e-Transfer directly. A payment processor sits in between, and which one decides how smooth the deposit feels.
The smoother setups use a request-money flow. You type an amount in the cashier, the processor sends an Interac money request to your email or phone number, and you approve it from a notification or inside your banking app. No email addresses to copy, no security questions. Sol Casino, for instance, runs its Interac deposits through Loonio, according to its Canadian reviews. Gigadat is another well-known name in this business, though none of our brand data ties it to a specific casino. The Casino Rewards group (Zodiac, Yukon Gold, Luxury) processes Interac through PayDirect Billing Solutions, according to its own FAQ.
The processor's name may show up on your bank statement instead of the casino's. That's normal.
Withdrawals run the other way. The casino, through its processor, sends you an e-Transfer. If you have Autodeposit registered for your email in the banking app, the money drops straight into your account with no question to answer. Without Autodeposit, you get an email or text and accept it in the app. Both work; Autodeposit just saves a step and avoids an unaccepted transfer expiring.
One rule that never bends: the name on your bank account must match the name on your casino account. A transfer from a partner's account will bounce or freeze your withdrawal.
Your bank's limits come first
Casinos publish their own minimums and maximums, but the ceiling you hit first is usually your bank's. Each Canadian bank sets its own e-Transfer limits, often around C$3,000 a day at the big banks, with weekly and 30-day caps on top. New accounts and some basic packages start lower. Credit unions and online banks differ again.
Limits on receiving matter too. A large win paid by e-Transfer can arrive in several pieces, and some casinos split payouts because of processor caps on their side.
You can see your exact numbers in the banking app, usually under the e-Transfer or Interac settings. Some banks let you raise them in the app; others want a phone call. Check before a big deposit, not halfway through one.
Withdrawal times, brand by brand
Here's what the data says for each Interac casino in our ranking. "Typical payout" includes the casino's pending period, which is often the slowest part.
| Casino | Interac deposit | Interac withdrawal | Typical payout |
|---|---|---|---|
| Spin Casino | Yes, from C$10 | Yes | 24 h pending (no weekend processing), then 1 to 3 business days |
| Jackpot City | Yes, from C$10 | Yes | 24 h pending, then 1 to 3 business days; sometimes hours |
| 22Bet | Yes, from C$15 | Check cashier | 15 min pending; e-wallets instant, cards up to 7 business days |
| King Billy | Yes, from C$30 | Reported | Most methods within 24 h; min C$60 |
| GGBet | Yes, from C$13 | Listed | Approved within 24 h, funds within 5 business days |
| Wazamba | Yes, from C$10 | Listed | 1 to 3 days; daily caps by VIP level |
| LeoVegas | Yes, from C$20 | Yes | Up to 5 business days |
| Sol Casino | Yes (via Loonio), from C$15 | Yes | About 1 business day |
| V.Vegas (ex-Vulkan Vegas) | Yes, from C$10 | Yes | 0 to 72 h reported; no weekend payouts |
| Ice Casino | Yes | Listed | Pending up to 2 business days, processing up to 96 h |
| Zodiac | Yes, C$1 first deposit | Not confirmed; EFT listed | 48 h pending, next business day, EFT 2 to 3 days |
| Mr Bet | Yes, from C$40 | Yes | Advertised 30 min to 48 h; many delay complaints in Sep to Oct 2026 |
| Luxury Casino | Yes, from C$10 | Not confirmed; EFT listed | 48 h pending, then EFT 2 to 3 days; min C$50 |
| Yukon Gold | Yes, from C$10 | Not confirmed; EFT listed | 48 h pending, EFT 2 to 3 days; a new method can add 5 to 7 days |
Three things jump out. Sol and the Spin/Jackpot City pair are the quickest on paper. The Casino Rewards sites (Zodiac, Luxury, Yukon Gold) take Interac deposits but pay out by CAD EFT, so plan on several business days. And Mr Bet's advertised speed doesn't match what players were reporting this autumn; our Mr Bet review covers that in detail.
Weekends matter more than most people think. A Friday-evening request at a casino with "no weekend processing" won't move until Monday, then the pending clock starts.
Why you almost never pay a fee
Casinos love Interac for a reason that has nothing to do with you. An e-Transfer is a push payment: you send it, it's done, and there's no chargeback a week later. Card deposits can be disputed; e-Transfers can't, at least not in the same way. Fewer disputes mean lower processing costs, so most casinos simply absorb the fee.
On your side, most Canadian chequing accounts now include e-Transfers in the monthly package. Some basic accounts still charge a small fee per transfer, so check your fee schedule if you deposit often.
Where fees do appear, they're tied to rules rather than to Interac itself:
- Mr Bet may charge up to 10% if you withdraw deposits you haven't wagered at least twice.
- King Billy requires deposits to be wagered 3x before a withdrawal.
- The Casino Rewards sites charge C$50 on bank wire withdrawals, which is a reason to use EFT instead.
Ontario, Alberta and everyone else
If you live in Ontario, the offshore sites above should not accept you; the province has its own regulated market, where Interac is also standard. Alberta joined that club on 13 July 2026. Jackpot City and Luxury Casino are on Alberta's approved list and run separate Alberta products, so make sure you land on the right one. Elsewhere in Canada, the rest-of-Canada versions apply.
Small things that slow down an Interac payout
Most delays aren't Interac's fault. In our experience they come from the casino side:
- ID not yet verified. Upload photo ID and proof of address right after signing up, from the phone camera, so the first withdrawal doesn't wait on it.
- A bonus still active. Many cashiers block withdrawals until wagering is done or the bonus is forfeited.
- A different payout method than your deposit method. Casinos prefer the same route both ways.
- Splitting one withdrawal into several small ones. It can trigger a manual review.
- Requesting late on a Friday.
Get those out of the way and Interac is the most dependable way to move money between your phone and a casino. Our Spin Casino and Sol Casino reviews show how two of the faster cashiers handle it, and the Apple Pay guide explains why Interac ends up handling the payout even when you deposit another way.
Questions
How long does an Interac casino withdrawal take?
It depends on the casino's pending period more than on Interac. Sol Casino reports about one business day; Spin Casino and Jackpot City hold requests for 24 hours, then pay in 1 to 3 business days. The Casino Rewards sites pay by EFT after a 48-hour pending period.
Why didn't my e-Transfer deposit show up in the casino?
Usually the processor hasn't confirmed it yet, or the reference or name didn't match. Check your banking app's history before sending again. If the transfer left your account, contact the casino's live chat with the time and amount.
Is there a limit on how much I can deposit by Interac?
Yes, two of them. The casino sets a minimum and maximum, and your bank sets daily, weekly and monthly e-Transfer limits, often around C$3,000 a day at the big banks. You can see and sometimes raise yours in the banking app.
Do I need Autodeposit to get paid?
No, but it helps. With Autodeposit registered on your email, casino payouts land in your account automatically. Without it, you accept each transfer from a notification, and an unaccepted transfer eventually expires and goes back to the sender.
