LeoVegas on a phone, outside and inside Ontario

LeoVegas called itself the king of mobile casino long before most competitors had a working phone site. Eight years of Canadian reviews later, that is still the honest summary: the browser version is fast, tidy and easy to use with one thumb.

What has changed is everything around it. There are now two LeoVegas products in Canada, one app that most Canadians can't use, and a province that has been dropped.

You won't find a LeoVegas app (unless you're in Ontario)

Search the Canadian App Store and one result comes up: LeoVegas Real Money Casino, published by Gears of Leo AB. Read the listing and it is the Ontario product, run by Tigergen Limited under AGCO licence OPIG1337312, for players aged 19 and over. It launched in April 2026 and had a 3.0 rating from just 67 reviews in October.

Living in Montréal, Halifax or Winnipeg, that app is not for you. There is no Android app on Google Play either, and we found no APK for the rest of Canada.

One review site, gambling.com, says players outside Ontario can use an iOS app. We could not find one in the Canadian store. Treat that claim as unconfirmed.

Honestly, the missing app is a smaller loss than it sounds. LeoVegas's mobile site was always the product. Add it to your home screen from Safari's share menu or Chrome's three-dot menu and it opens almost like an app, minus the store updates. Our casino apps guide walks through that shortcut step by step.

Two companies, one logo

LeoVegas belongs to MGM Resorts through the LeoVegas Group. In Canada it splits like this:

Alberta sits in neither column. LeoVegas paused new sign-ups there in June 2026 and stayed out of the regulated market that opened on 13 July; Covers' list of approved operators from 15 October 2026 doesn't include it. Albertans with an old account should contact support about withdrawing their balance rather than waiting.

The welcome money, step by step

Outside Ontario the casino offer is a 100% match up to C$500 on each of your first three deposits, plus 100 free spins spread across them (33, 33 and 34). Total: up to C$1,500. Wagering is 25x and has to be completed within seven days. Minimum deposit C$20.

Twenty-five times is lower than most casinos on this site ask. Seven days is the real constraint. Deposit C$500, receive C$500 in bonus money, and you face C$12,500 in bets within a week. On a phone, a few evenings of spins at C$1 each won't get there. Size the deposit to what you actually play in a week, not to the maximum.

Live-casino players get a separate option: 100% up to C$1,000 plus 10 Golden Chips, with 40x wagering. That is steeper. Pick one or the other at sign-up.

No no-deposit bonus is listed for Canada.

These figures come from gambling.com's 2026 review because the operator site redirected our research connection to its Dutch version. On the phone screenshots we took from Montréal on 26 October 2026, the lobby's welcome banner showed the same C$1,500 headline, which is reassuring. Still, confirm the terms in the cashier before you deposit.

What 4,000 games feel like in a phone browser

The catalogue tops 4,000 titles: 3,300-plus slots and over 70 jackpots, among them LeoJackpot, WowPot and Mega Moolah. Search works well, and category rows scroll sideways the way a store's carousels do, which keeps a huge lobby manageable on a 6-inch screen.

The live side is the other reason to come. More than 150 tables from Evolution, Playtech and Pragmatic Live, including some tables branded for LeoVegas only. Portrait mode suits blackjack. Roulette is better sideways. For data use and the best-behaved live games, see our mobile live casino guide.

A sportsbook sits in the same account, which most casinos in this guide can't offer. Slot fans who never bet on hockey can ignore it; the tabs stay out of the way.

Battery use is normal for a browser casino. Live streams drain more than slots, so plug in for a long blackjack session.

Paying in and getting paid

The cashier takes Interac, Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, Skrill, Neteller, MuchBetter, Paysafecard and bank transfer. No crypto.

Apple Pay and Google Pay aren't confirmed for the rest-of-Canada site. If tapping to pay matters to you, Jackpot City is the safer pick (our Apple Pay guide lists others). PayPal is the interesting extra here: very few Canadian-facing casinos offer it.

For most people Interac will be the default both ways; see our Interac guide for limits and timing.

Withdrawals can take up to five business days in general. E-wallets are often under 48 hours. That is slower than some offshore sites boast, and about what you'd expect from a large licensed operator that runs proper checks.

Verification can come before the first deposit

This is the part that surprises people. LeoVegas may ask for ID and proof of address before you deposit at all, not just before you withdraw. Review takes up to three business days.

Annoying if you wanted to play tonight. Useful later, because the account is already cleared when you win. Have a clear photo of your driver's licence and a recent bill or bank statement ready before you register.

Support

Live chat (a chatbot first) and email, plus a help centre. No phone line. Type "agent" early if the bot loops. The help centre is better than most, with short articles on verification, limits and bonus rules that load fine on mobile data. For anything involving documents or a stuck withdrawal, skip it and open a chat.

Who LeoVegas suits in 2026

A player outside Ontario and Alberta who wants a big, well-sorted lobby, strong live tables and a low 25x bonus, and who doesn't mind playing in the browser. That covers a lot of Quebec and the Atlantic provinces.

Ontario players get an app, but a young one with a middling rating and its own rules. Albertans should look elsewhere for now: Jackpot City and Luxury both have approved Alberta products.

And if you want Apple Pay at the cashier, LeoVegas isn't there yet.
