Springbok Casino was never meant for Canadians
Not for Canada. A South African RTG casino that pays in rand. Our 2021 review should never have listed it.
What's new
Springbok is still running in 2026, but only for South Africa. We found no Canadian review, payment method or currency for it in any source, past or present.
The clue was in the address all along: .co.za.
Springbok Casino is a South African site. It runs Realtime Gaming software, takes South African rand and nothing else, and pays out by bank wire, Neteller or Skrill. We looked for any sign that it ever accepted Canadian sign-ups or Canadian dollars, in old reviews, payment lists and archived pages. We found none.
So this is not a story about a casino that left Canada. It never arrived.
The 30-second test we should have run in 2021
You can tell whether a casino is built for you before you register. On a phone it takes half a minute:
- Read the domain ending. A country code like .co.za or .co.uk is a strong hint about the target market.
- Open the cashier or banking page without logging in. Look for CAD and for Interac. Springbok shows rand and international wallets.
- Check the bonus terms for currency. Offers written in R or £ are not for you.
- Look for French. A site that serves Canada properly usually offers it.
One phone quirk: Safari and Chrome often shorten the address to the bare domain or hide it while you scroll. Tap the address bar once and the full ending appears.
Springbok fails every step. Our old page praised its 200+ games, tournaments and cashback without asking any of these questions.
What we can confirm about it today
From the Web Archive, the site was operating at least until late August 2026. Review sites list a Curaçao licence and name Quadgreen N.V. as the operator, and both describe a large pile of player complaints. AskGamblers also shows a "terminated" banner on its page, without explaining what was terminated. We could not reach springbokcasino.co.za ourselves; it blocked our test connection.
We have no launch date we trust, so we are not giving one.
If you somehow have an account
A Canadian account at a rand-only casino means every deposit was converted and every withdrawal will be too, through an international wire or e-wallet. If you hold a balance, request a withdrawal to the e-wallet you used, keep screenshots, and take any dispute to a casino complaint service. Do not deposit again to "unlock" a payout.
RTG-style play that works in Canada
None of these runs RTG, but all three take Canadian players outside Ontario. Run the test on each anyway:
- Yukon Gold: Kahnawake-licensed, CAD cashier with Interac, and a C$10 entry offer of 150 spins on the Mega Money Wheel. Mobile browser outside Ontario.
- King Billy: Interac plus Apple Pay deposits, a huge game list, and an Android APK from its own site. Its access in Alberta is uncertain since October 2026.
- RocketPlay: a home-screen web app rather than a store app, with fast crypto payouts according to reviews. Interac is not confirmed, so check the cashier first.
Before signing up anywhere, our real-money casino guide runs through the rest of the checks.
